What Are Motivational Messages?

Motivational words of encouragement are words that help us keep moving forward. To the person getting it, they are like fuel added to a fire or a refreshing glass of lemonade on a hot summer day.

As a business leader, your words of encouragement can help an employee go from being good to being great. Your words can also make someone who is unsure of themselves and their skills feel more confident, which can give them the bravery to do their work very well.

As a boss, sometimes we may use mean words and negativity to push our employees to work harder. However, there is a saying that suggests it is more effective to be kind and persuasive rather than mean and aggressive when dealing with your employees.

Some motivating words can be difficult to understand or accept. However, there are times when these revelations can be strong and enlightening, and they assist in improving ourselves.

In the 1990s, when I was a teenager, I got hired to work at a Subway restaurant nearby. One of the owners was my science teacher (he knew about my personality and work ethic, and that I worked very hard). However, shortly after I started working there, my teacher’s spouse and the co-owner of the business thought about firing me from the job.

I had a hard time learning because I didn’t know much about Subway at first. I had to start from the beginning and learn everything at the business because my family didn’t have much money. To me, Subway was a restaurant that cost a lot of money, so I had never tried their food before.

But, the boss gave me support and a chance to make a difficult situation into something that inspires and drives me. She also supported me in monitoring my accomplishments and encouraged me to do tasks that made me uncomfortable.

It was difficult, especially because I knew that I could lose my job. However, within just a month, my position at work changed drastically. Initially, I was at risk of losing my job, but I managed to turn things around and became regarded as the top employee they had ever hired. Because she motivated me, I became a supervisor on weekends. I taught new employees at two different Subway restaurants.

Later, the owner, who had initially thought about firing me, changed her mind and felt sorry for even thinking about it. If someone didn’t think I was a good worker, give me compliments for my improvement, and motivate me to continue getting better, this wouldn’t have happened.
