You can now get your WAEC GCE Registration form as the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) officially kicks off registration for this year’s second series exam. If you are a private candidate aiming to secure your credits, note that the registration pin costs Twenty-Seven Thousand Naira (₦27,000). Essential Guide to the WAEC GCE Registration Form
WAEC has set the registration process online for private candidates.
After buying the Registration PIN, each candidates should visit the WAEC GCE registration portal to complete the entry. The process includes biometric features, which WAEC will use to validate candidate at exam centres.
Candidates should read each entry field with care before submission.
WAEC GCE Registration Period
Generation of PIN close on Friday, 31 July 2026.
Candidates should complete biometrics capturing and online registration by 11:59pm on Sunday, 2 August 2026. WAEC expects each candidate to finish the process within two weeks of first accessing the registration website, as long as that access falls within the registration period.
WAEC GCE Registration Fee and Payment
Candidates should pay Twenty Seven Thousand Naira, N27,000, at branch of listed banks or through accredited agents.
They will receive the Registration PIN and information VCD after payment. Banks & accredited agent will also charge Five Hundred Naira, N500, as commission.

Walk-In Candidates
Candidates who register after the close of entries may still be accepted as “Walk-in-Candidates”.
WAEC requires such candidate to register at least twenty-four hours before the scheduled time of the paper or papers they intend to write. The walk-in fee is Forty-Five Thousand Naira, N45,000.
Candidates With Special Needs
Candidates with special needs will register online like other candidates.
They should clearly state their impairments during registration, such as Visual, Low vision, Spastic, Speech, Hard to hear or any other listed condition. This help WAEC record the right details for the examination process.
Where Candidates Can Register
Candidates can buy their PIN and complete registration at accredited banks, cyber cafes, WAEC offices and “WAEC Registration Points” near them.

Completion of Registration
Each candidate must finish registration within two week of first access to the WAEC registration website during the registration period.
Candidates should check their names, gender, passport photographs, dates of birth and subjects before submission; WAEC will not take responsibility for error in candidate details. After successful registration, each candidate should print the Admission Notice, which will serve as identification during the examination.
The Result Checker PIN will also appear on the Admission Notice.
The acceptable fingerprint scanner is the UareU digitalPersona fingerprint device.
WAEC GCE Exam Mode
The examination will be a computer-based test.
Objective papers will be fully CBT, while essays and tests of practical papers will run as hybrid examinations. Questions will appear on screen, while candidates will write their answers in answers booklets.
WAEC will also hold an online mock examinations for interested registered candidates who want to get familiar with the testing environment. The date and process for the mock examination will be sent to candidates through SMS, email and WAEC social media platforms.
General Information for WAEC GCE Candidates
Candidates should read these points before completing registration and before going to the exam hall.
- Registration fee is not refundable.
- Candidates should keep checking the website for the examination timetable.
- Entries must include passport photographs captured with a digital camera.
- The digital camera specification should be Microsoft HD 3000.
- Passport photographs must be good-quality black and white or colour images.
- The required file format is JPEG only.
- The required photo size is 275 by 314 pixels with 72 dpi resolution.
- The passport photograph must have a contrasting background.
- Candidates must not use obstructive items in passport photographs.
- A defaced or poor-quality photograph will invalidate the candidate’s entry.
- Candidates should visit the WAEC Nigeria website for further details.
- Candidates should study the Regulations and Syllabuses after downloading them from the WAEC website with the Registration PIN.
- Candidates must go to the examination hall in mufti and without arms.
- Professional uniforms of any kind will not be allowed in the examination hall.
- WAEC will cancel the entire result of any candidate who sits for the examination in more than one centre.
- Smoking is not allowed in the examination hall.
- Any candidate who enters the hall with mobile phones or other electronic gadgets will have all results cancelled.
- Candidates must correct their entries before upload, since WAEC will not accept amendment requests for details supplied during registration.
- Candidates must bring their original Admission Notice to the examination hall.
- Candidates involved in examination malpractice will lose their results and may face prosecution.
- Candidates should provide valid email addresses and telephone numbers during registration.
