2020 WAEC GCE Exam Timetable – FG Announces WASSCE Date

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will now start on August 17 while exit classes in secondary schools will resume on August 4, 2020. View 2020 WAEC GCE Exam Timetable Pdf here.

This is to inform candidates who registered for the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) – second series for private candidates, that the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) will release the examination Timetable online soon.

FG Announces 2020 WASSCE Date

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has published the full timetable for the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

In a post on Twitter, the examination body said it was the ‘Final International Timetable for the Conduct of WASSCE for School Candidates, 2020’.

The Nigerian government on its part, had approved Monday, August 17 as the start of the exams.

It will end Saturday, September 12.

A look at the time-table shows students will sit for Mathematics on August 24 and English Language on August 26.

Practicals for science students begin this Friday, August 7 with Chemistry.

The last paper will be Core Science on Monday, September 7.

Notes on 2020 WAEC GCE Exam Timetable – FG Announces WASSCE Date

1. Difference in Time on Question Paper and Timetable
Where the duration indicated on the question paper differs from that on the timetable, the one on the question paper should be
followed.

2. Question Papers to be Given Out in Advance of the Dates They Are to be Taken
Visual Art 3
Paper 3A – Instructions will be given to supervisors two weeks before the paper is due to be taken.
Paper 3B – Question papers will be given to candidates two weeks before the paper is due to be taken.

3. Extra Time for Blind, Deaf and Dumb Candidates
Blind, deaf and dumb candidates should be allowed one and half times the time allotted to other candidates.
