JAMB Registration Form 2025: Start & Closing Date, Price and JAMB Official Timetable

JAMB Form 2025/2026 is Not Yet Out – The period where JAMB registration starts is here again.  As usual, JAMB conducts the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the Direct Entry (DE) examination for candidates seeking admission into various tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

The JAMB registration for 2025 will start on January 25th, 2025, and end on February 26th, 2025. Mock exam date will be on Friday, March 7th, 2025, and Mock slip reprinting on Thursday, April 10th, 2025. The JAMB UTME CBT Exam will start from April 18th to 28th of April, 2025. Result release: Wednesday, April 30th, 2025.

we do not know the JAMB registration fee yet, but The JAMB registration fee for 2024/2025 is N3,500 for both UTME and DE candidates, and some banks and centers may charge extra fees for their services, making the total amount a candidate will pay for the JAMB registration in 2025/2026 N4,700.

How to Register For JAMB 2025/2026

1. To register for JAMB 2025, create your JAMB Profile by sending your NIN to 55019.
2. Make sure you have an active and accessible email address. This will be used to receive updates and notifications from JAMB.
3. Your phone number will be required to receive alerts and communicate with JAMB.
4. Buy JAMB e-PIN Online or from Any Bank Nationwide
5. Get your O’level/A’level Result Printout ready
6. Write down All your Biodata to Avoid Mistakes
7. Budget 7,000 for all the Registration Processes
8. Finally, visit a JAMB-accredited CBT Centre to complete the registration online.

It is essential to advise candidates to register early in order to avoid the last-minute rush which might lead to some unwanted situations. The JAMB registration process for 2025/2026 is not yet officially available, and the JAMB form 2025/2026 is therefore not yet accessible online at www.jamb.gov.ng. Candidates are expected to print their examination slips from 10th April 2025. 

JAMB Registration Fees 2025/2026

How much is JAMB form 2025?

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the official registration fees for the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE).

As part of the registration process, candidates must pay N3,500 for the JAMB form.

In addition to this, there are other associated fees:

1. N700 for Registration
2. N1,500 as Examination Fees
3. N1,500 for the Optional Mock-UTME (if taken at privately-owned centres)

Difference Between JAMB Direct Entry and JAMB UTME

The primary difference between JAMB Direct Entry (DE) and JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) lies in the level of entry and the qualification requirements:

JAMB Direct Entry (DE):

1. JAMB direct entry is designed for candidates who have already completed higher qualifications such as National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), or other equivalent qualifications.
2. Direct Entry candidates can apply for admission into a university programme’s second or third year, depending on the course and institution’s admission policies.
3. This route bypasses the first year, enabling qualified candidates to continue their education at an advanced level.

JAMB UTME:

1. UTME is intended for candidates who have completed their O’level (SSCE/NECO/WASSCE) qualifications.
2. It is a standard examination for students seeking admission into the first year of a university programme.
3. Candidates must write the UTME and meet the minimum score set by the chosen institution to be eligible for admission into 100-level courses.

Additional Information

• Direct entry (DE) candidates will only register and not participate in the examination.
• You can choose up to three universities for JAMB Direct Entry and UTME. However, you can only select one university as your first choice and the other two as your second and third choices.
• You can register for JAMB with awaiting results. However, you must upload the results later to be considered for admission.
