How to Check JAMB CAPS Admission Status
JAMB CAPS admission status is a system developed by the JAMB to streamline the admission process into higher institutions in Nigeria. It is an online portal that enables candidates to check, accept, or reject their admission status.
JAMB CAPS aims to enhance the integrity and quality of admission procedures by promoting transparency, minimizing errors associated with manual processes, and empowering institutions with autonomy in admission decisions.

To check your JAMB CAPS admission status, you must first familiarize yourself with the JAMB CAPS portal. The procedure for checking, accepting, or rejecting admission is outlined below:
1. Navigate to the JAMB E-facility website at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
2. Input the email address and password set during registration and sign in.
3. Find and click on the “Check Admission Status” link.
4. Choose your examination year, provide your JAMB registration number, and select “Access my CAPS“.
5. On the left-hand side, click on “Admission Status” to view your admission status.
If you haven’t been offered admission, you will see “SORRY YOU HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN ADMISSION“. If you want to check your admission status on the JAMB CAPS portal, repeat steps 1 – 4 above.
On the admission status page, click on the Access my CAPS button. Once the button is clicked, you will be redirected to the JAMB CAPS Page. Now click on the “Admission Status” tab located on the left menu.
Once the page is loaded successfully, your admission status will be displayed. You will see one of the following: CONGRATULATIONS…, accept/Reject your admission and wait for further instruction; admission in progress, then be patient, the status will change in a few days/weeks; or Not Admitted, if in such case, please don’t give up yet! You might still gain admission. Remain hopeful.
