LONG Young Achievers Scholarship 2026: Eligibility, Benefits and How to Apply

The LONG Young Achievers Scholarship 2026 has opened for eligible private secondary school students in Nigeria, providing long-term financial support to students enrolled in private junior and senior secondary schools across Nigeria.
The scholarship is renewable for up to six academic years, subject to satisfactory academic performance and continued eligibility.
Eligible students may receive up to N240,000 per academic year for tuition and administrative fees, while the Foundation also covers selected external examination costs and provides mentorship and career development opportunities.

What Does the LONG Young Achievers Scholarship Cover?

Financial Aid
The scholarship provides up to N240,000 per academic year to cover tuition and administrative fees.
Renewal will depend on satisfactory academic performance and continued eligibility.
External Examination Sponsorship
The Foundation will cover the costs of the following external examinations:
- Junior Secondary School Certificate (JSCE)
- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC)
- Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination
These examination costs form part of the scholarship support package.
Mentorship and Career Development
Scholars will also receive mentorship and career development opportunities.
The Foundation states that these opportunities are intended to guide students as they prepare for future academic and career choices.
How Long Can the Scholarship Be Renewed?
The LONG Young Achievers Scholarship can be renewed for up to six academic years.
This period is intended to provide support across a student’s junior and senior secondary education, subject to the renewal conditions stated by the Foundation.
Who Can Apply for the LONG Young Achievers Scholarship?
Applicants must meet the age, school enrolment and household income conditions stated by the Foundation.
Age Requirement
The student must be between 10 and 17 years old at the time of application.
School Requirement
The student must currently be enrolled in a private junior or senior secondary school in Nigeria.
Household Income Requirement
The student’s total annual household income must be below N1,500,000.
Who Must Complete the Application Form?
The application must be completed on behalf of the student by one of the following:
- A parent
- A legal guardian
- An older sibling
The student is therefore not listed as the person responsible for completing the application form.
What Documents Are Required?
Applicants should prepare the required documents before completing the online application.
The stated documents are:
- Fully completed online application form
- Official proof of current school enrolment
- Recent academic records or report cards
- Evidence showing financial need
